Our Team

"No one can whistle a symphony. It takes an orchestra to play it," wrote author Halford E. Luccock. The team of ReComPR was brought together with just this idea in mind. Each member of the team complements the others with his or her own personal strengths, differing education and unique personal interests. And when they work together, it's a symphony of communication.

Thomas Rentschler Thomas Rentschler founded ReComPR in 1999. Before that, he worked for several years as the editor of a travel-trade journal. He also wrote freelance for Deutsche Telekom?s customer magazines as well as for various German and international financial magazines and daily papers, where he focused particularly on foreign economic policy in Asia. That focus, in turn, stemmed from a prior, yearlong experience in South Korea, where he worked as a radio producer and correspondent for such companies like dpa, Welthandel and WDR. Thomas learned the basics of journalism as a volunteer with the news agency idea, an experience immediately followed by a stint as production leader for all twelve regional editions of a weekly magazine, where he was responsible for team of 50 freelance workers.

Susanne Hoffmann Susanne Hoffmann has been a senior PR consultant at ReComPR since the spring of 2007 and is responsible for the lifestyle, beauty and service industries. After taking university studies in Romance languages, American studies and ethnology, she started out working as a freelance journalist. Then, in 1999, she moved into the agency business, focusing particularly on the needs of customers in the consumer goods industry, such as Wella and Emsa, and on recruitment companies, including Bundesverband Personalvermittlung, Manpower and Jobware."

Annika Schnadt Annika Schnadt focused on communications and PR in Sociology and Media Science degree from the University of Marburg. She was able to further develop her journalistic skills, putting them to use during and after her studies while working for Germany?s largest PR agency specialized in tourism. Since 2003, Annika has been a valuable member of the ReComPR team.

Shawn Volesky Shawn Volesky has been responsible for marketing at ReComPR since 2004. Prior to 2004, he worked at the Bobcat Company and at Procter & Gamble, where he helped develop marketing projects for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. During his studies, he focused on international marketing and cultural sciences, earning a Bachelor?s degree in Cultural Anthropology and Sociology in the United States as well as a Master?s degree in International Business in the Netherlands.

A communication design graduate, he previously worked as an art director and department head for "Creation" in several advertising and design agencies, specializing in business and financial communications for Aventis Behring, Clariant, Ferrero and Nestlé. Marco especially emphasizes the interplay and interconnection of individual media and modules to optimize their effects.

Reinhard Backes Reinhard Backes is a specialist in all things economic and technological. After studying history and physical education, he volunteered with dpa. For several years, he has been working for several of Deutsche Telekom?s customer magazines, both the German and English-language services of Deutsche Welle, and for the German Broadcasting Service. Reinhard is strong in conceptual work and layout, and for several companies, such as BMZ, MISEREOR and EER, he creates whole magazines from start to finish.

Eddy Holetic Eddy Holetic wrote about the international stock, foreign exchange and raw materials markets for the news agency "Teledata" (now dpa-afx) while a sociology and political science student at university. After that, he worked for the news agencies vwd (Vereinigte Wirtschaftsdienste) and Dow Jones Newswires, where he reported primarily on banks and companies in the software and tourism industries. At the same time, he also wrote for the Wall Street Journal and for the market letter "Czerwenksy Intern."
